Default Paint Creek and Rocky Fork

Any crappie biting at these places? Wonder if it’s ok to fish during this Coronavirus outbreak?

I haven't been to either lake in several months so I can't help you.
A friend told me Paint was still down just over week ago when he was there and as far as Rocky they don't draw it down so it should be fine.
Here's a link to Paint Creek water levels, keep in mind summer pool is around 798'

Crappie fishing has been good all winter long everywhere we've fished so if ya got the bug...go for it.

I plan to soon. We usually camp close to Rocky Fork but mostly fish Paint Creek. We usually troll with minnows but I wish I could learn to use the jigs. I have a bunch of jigs and the plastics but just never have been as successful.

April 01-15 are the fill dates for Paint (and most of the CoE lakes in Ohio. I am trying to learn more about Paint Creek since my Great Grandfather's farm is now a part of the park. One of these days I will figure out where the fish are.

LOUISVILLE, KY –In the interest of public safety due to COVID-19 concerns, and in accordance with Center for Disease Control recommendations, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District will be closing all Corps-managed day use recreational areas and associated public facilities (such as beaches, picnic shelters and restrooms) and postponing the opening of all campgrounds until further notice.

These additional measures went into effect, March 16, at 5:00 p.m.(EST) at each of the district’s 20 flood risk management projects throughout Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. A complete list of impacted Louisville District lakes is below. All Corps-managed boat ramps will remain open at this time. It is important to note that some facilities, such as marinas, boat ramps, and campgrounds, are operated by other entities. We recommend that the public contact the respective state agencies and marinas directly for the latest on their operating status.

Campground reservations made through recreation.gov will be processed automatically and a full refund will be issued.

As always, public safety and the safety of our employees remains our top priority, so all USACE visitor centers will remain closed to the public until further notice. All previously scheduled public tours and educational events have been canceled. Every effort will be made to reschedule these events for a later date when feasible.

The following public areas at the district’s Lock and Dam projects along the Ohio River have also been closed to the public:
Markland Locks and Dam - Observation tower and park
McAlpine Locks and Dam - Training center and observation area
Cannelton Locks and Dam - Park and comfort station
Newburgh Locks and Dam - Park and comfort station

USACE will continue to monitor and assess the situation and keep the public informed of any additional updates. For the latest information follow the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District at: Louisville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Home | Facebook

I saw that but that's for campgrounds and picnic shelters, I think all the ramps are still open and that's only COE facilities. State park ramps are still open.
