JohnPierce5150, You might try posting this on the Ohio board. Scroll down where it lists all the forums and you'll find all the different state boards. I can't help you none for sure or I would. Have driven through and delivered a lot of freight, but back then the highway was work, and didn't have time to stop and fish. Good luck and hope you find what your looking for...And welcome to the forum from an other Pierce in Southwest Missouri...

I have been told East Fork State Park has Crappie. Are you bank fishing?

1st off welcome to the friendliest fishing forum on the net. I like far sw Ohio so cant speak for middletown area, but Caesers creek in Wilmington, East Fork aka William Harsha lake before the blue green algae starts and Acton aka Houston woods are all good crappie lakes, this time of the year they should be schooled up deep, so a boat and decent electronics would be helpfull.

Ohio river tribs are worth a look when they aren't flooded. Which seems rare this time of year. LOL

I generally have decent luck at East Fork. I got pretty hard up and hit EF about 3 weeks ago when there was a thin film of ice on the water in the shallows with water temps around 36 degrees. I found the crappies were on a steep ledge in 25 FOW but they were in no mood to feed while I was there. I'm going to wait till the temps are in the low 50's before I try that again. EF is great for cats too if you're into that. Cowan Lake is a great place too. Has lots of bass, crappie, saugeye and hybrids.
