Friend of mine said it was 52 on Sunday. He didn't get any sauger and he said no one else that he talked to was doing any good either.

Went yesterday to a N.KY creek in Markland Pool. Saw 49 degrees. We worked our way closer to the river and temps were 46.

I love the OH river creeks this time of year. A few weeks on either side of Thanksgiving and I do really well for Crappie. My dad and I fished 5 hours yesterday afternoon.

We caught 60+ crappie. But the quality of fish was tremendous. We caught 9 crappie that were 13"+. The 2 biggest were just over 14". I kept a few but put most back.

I've been fishing the creeks for 5-6 years and this is my favorite time of year but yesterday topped them all.

It's always the same for me later in the year. Find the deep brush and vertical jig. It was windy yesterday. I let an 1/8 oz. jig drop straight to the bottom, then real up slowly and wait for the thump. Many of them had mud on their bellies.

Those are some nice crappie MBK. That 17.5 was a sauger or saugeye, not sure which, hope it helps Baaaky out. He was pretty thick too. Caught him fishing for crappie. I’ve been in the Indiana creeks all November and the fishing has been pretty good. Lots of 10/11’s with several over 13. The river is awesome this time of year.

This thread hasn't been updated for a while but for those of you still fishing, I went for about 4 hours on Monday, 12/23 to my usual creek. Water levels had finally come back down but water temps were a cold 37.5. I'm sure it's warmed a bit since then. But fishing was good. They were very slow to bite and plenty of patience was required but a really slow presentation would get them to hit. Caught about 20 with at least 3 13" or more. May go back one more time before it rains.
