    Default Alum Creek Reservoir

Fish yesterday 09/24. Bite was good around brush piles early when the water temperatures ranged from 74-75 degrees. Fish were in 10 feet of water suspended anywhere from 4-6 feet.

when the water warmed to 77-78 the bite shut off. Later in the day as temps cooled the fishing got good again on the brush as in the morning. Caught only two keepers as the lake has a 9 inch limit. Put all the fish caught back to be caught another day.

Boat traffic was non-existent and the weather was beautiful. With the small fish I caught I look for this reservoir to have great Crappie fishing for years to come.

    Good luck all..

UPDATE: 10-4-2019. Fished from 2 - dark, caught 11 keeper fish. They were all in the 4-8 ft depth in 15 FOW. Fought the wind all day and the chilly temps. It was a hard slow bite. Minners was all we fished with. Wife about froze but I was blessed she packed some sweat jackets. Fished up Big Run alll day.

Size: 79.2 KBFished 10 October and didn’t do any good all afternoon except catfish and small fingerling LMB. At 1815 lake went completely calm and at 1835 God flipped the fishing light on. Every cast I caught fish (Crappie) and within 25 minutes had caught 20-25 fish. Kept 9 to bring home, only caught 3 or 4 that weren’t 10+ inch fish. If we had been prepared for night fishing we most likely would have brought home a limit of fish. Awesome evening of fishing. God is good!

Fished Sunday 10/20 and did well. Caught 20+ keepers and at least that many in the 9-10 inch range. Brought home the 14 largest fish. 2 of them just missed FishOhio size of 14 inches. Average size of the fish I brought home was 11 inches. Fishing in 2-10 feet of water around brush piles with minners.
