Default Mosquito Lake bite is on.

Just a heads up for the guys who fish the NE corner of the state. Some really good crappies and walleye are being caught right now. Most people are using minnows for the crappies and trolling flicker shads for the walleyes. I’m using pourhouse custom jigs and nibbles and doing just as well or better than most. Four to fifteen foot water for both.

Went out this morning and drifted the south stumps. Was done, 30 keepers, before 11. 7 to 10 ft using white twistertails put 90% of them in the boat.

Micro moved to doing mostly plastics. They got away from the spoons. I resigned my staff position years ago and haven’t been in contact with them. They may have started making spoons again but I’m not sure. www.microspoons.com

Back at it again today. Got out early and fished a few hours before the wind picked up. Had my 30 over 11” before 10:30. Fish were still shallow and still hitting white twistertails on 1/16 jig heads. Drifted the north end. For you guys down in the southern part of the state, this lake is well worth the trip up north.

Me and a buddy put two limits of eaters in the box in two and a half hours this morning. Caught over a hundred fish . I kept 20. Only two females in my catch. The spawn is winding down now. Be done in another week. Got them in 6ft.

Got these over the weekend in 11’-12’ FOW on the north side southeast of the first island. Long line drifting road runners and bare hook and minnow on top.
