Default Best Crappie show in a long time!

Since Bill Bob didn't like my worst Fishing TV show review...here is one of the Best Fishing TV shows we have seen Lately!
As I stated before, like him or not, Bill Dance has some informative shows.
We just watched one today called "All about Crappie" on the Outdoor network! He was float fishing small plastics in cold water.
My son and I agreed, this was one of the most informative Crappie shows in a long time...Bill talked about everything, he even knew the difference between Black and White Crappie. They showed cover, Diagrams of the fishing, techniques, temps, differences between white and black Crappie etc...and he still managed to slide in his ads. This show got an A++ from my 17 year old son for information!
Check it out and see if you agree....

    Good fishing

love Bill Dance one of the last great ones and his shows are usually very informative, i do get tired of all the bass fishing in small lakes but love the crappie and catfish programs. And although i dont get the out dorr channel i do almost all of my crappie fishing in the winter, when lakes arent flooded or frozen part way.

As we dropped out direct tv because they got out of hand on the price we don't get outdoor network ( just get antenna tv) ,really wish they put some of this stuff on dvd.
May all the fish tales you catch be longer than the ones you tell !

I watched that show, but didn't see anything much different than other Crappie fishing shows that he's done. One thing I did notice, that he never mentioned, was that he was using a weedless jighead (fiber brush style weedguard). Considering that he was fishing right over top of standing timber, and likely had the jig at the depth level of some of the tops of those trees, it probably did help keep his jig from getting snagged in those tree tops.
I've seen several of his shows when he's been fishing for Crappie, and all of them I can remember had him fishing a float/jig. I can't remember seeing any of him casting a jig alone ... though I think he did mention that he wasn't getting bit doing so on this show.

Yep, he said this was the only way they'd bite since the water was so cold...he said they weren't chasing anything.
He showed Diagrams of how he was fishing the tree tops.
I Saved the show and since schools were closed Monday, played it for my son and 5 of his football/fishing friends.
They all were asking questions and interested in the points he was making...that was good!!!
Then I played the "Worst Fishing show on TV" for them...their opinions were the same as mine...they just laughed and made even more fun of him!
A couple years back, Hook-n-Look did a Crappie show that had Amazing shots of cover and strikes on different lures, it showed Crappie sniffing lures, sucking them in and spitting them out (without a bobber moving or fishermen seeing line move).
It's cool seeing what happens underwater.

Another good fishing show is Brushpilefishing with Russ Bailey. He's an Ohio guy from up around Grand Lake St Marys. He has YouTube clips and he has a show on the Pursuit channel...but you can watch it online for free also.

I think the shows have lost a lot this season. It just seems like it's missing something from years past.
I think the Midwest crappie series and even past years Brushpile fishing series were much better.
