Thread: Lake Erie, Sandusky bay

Have never fished Lake Erie or Sandusky bay and would like to try it in spring. Hear a lot of talk about east and west harbors. Is fishing allowed in and around all the boats? Google maps shows the harbors full of boats, not much cover. Is Sandusky river any good? Not looking for anyone’s specific spot, just a help in the right direction. Helping hand would be greatly appreciated.

Docks and rocks are what you’ll want to look for ..... have done well fishing jig-n-bobber, swimming jigs or lake shiners under floats....... I’ve only encountered one guy who acted silly as far as fishing around docks and boats ..... honestly just think he was having a bad day...... if your respectful and fish around the boats / docks like you would want some one to fish around them if you owned them you’ll be ok........ been going to Erie for years...... definitely my favorite destination
