Went out to CJ last night around 4pm to trial a V&M Wild Shad for a competitor.
Let me start by saying their is absolutely no excuse in modern times why this lake is so low...this is just another example of COE being idiots!
The V&M shad has possibilities in your arsenal....
The profile is amazing, other than a Keitech this is probably one of the softest feeling plastics around....the rings really make it soft and hold air which makes alot of bubbles in the water. It has a harder center core for durability.
When you burn this bait, the action is amazing...the bait wobbles from left to right, and the tail action is second to none...and that is what the swimbait excels at!
The downside is the weight...at a normal or slow retrieve the bait nose dives, with the tail up and doing nothing...there's even no action bouncing it off the bottom, or letting it sink!
But, if you need a durable, soft to the touch, big shad profile bait, to burn in the summer then give it a try!
