Question Any crappie reports for East Fork lake or Ohio River?

Looking for any reports if the crappie have started fall run yet? Getting my boat out later today for First time since spring. Taking my wife out for first time this year. A lot of boat riding today. Water temps?
    Appreciate reports.

Haven't heard any reports but I'll be out later this week. Going to take a ride and see what they look like today. Hasn't been a good year for fishing the creeks. Non-stop storms/rain = muddy water all summer long.

I went out last Friday to an OH. river trip in N.KY. Water temps were about 72.

I actually did really well until about noon and then the bite died off as the water warmed up, but tons of shad have moved back into the creeks and crappie were biting good. Also, caught some nice size fish. Largest was 14.5 but several 10+ inch crappie.

So, long story short, I think it's just starting to get really good in the creeks. I'll be glued there from now until late December. Going to try and go again this Friday. Once it seems water temps hit about 40 degrees, slow-bite and physical-discomfort causes me to hang it up for a few months but it's getting to be my favorite time of year for crappie.

Haven’t fished it in a while but last time there the fish were still deep, 15’.
They started the winter drawdown a few weeks ago and currently the water is about 2’ below summer pool.

I went to my go-to creek yesterday for a couple hours. Bite was awesome. Caught quite a few around 12". Largest over 14".

Vertical jigging in 8-10' water close to the bottom in the thickest brush. They were thumping it good.
