I finally got out again Tuesday before this rain. It took me a while before I found a pattern but ended up with a nice mixed bag of crappie, bluegill, spotted & largemouth bass & a couple of hybrids. No BIG fish but a steady bite. Ended up throwing them all back at the end of the day. After all this rain it will take a few days for the water to clear up. Creeks are rolling & muddy this morning and more rain coming. I love Fall fishing. Hybrids starting to show up again in the river too.

Hang in there Robin....I'm still hanging out in the trees for a few more weeks.
I'll give you a call when I finally get down.
I hope you get the motor back soon.

Three of us went to east fork Thanksgiving weekend caught about 75 only 3 keepers— wish they would raise limit to 10 inches and lower daily max to 15 fish would make east fork better fishery

Thanks for posting. With the river levels high, I may head to EF in the next week or two. Unfortunately, I've done about the same as you the past few times. Personally, I think there are too many small crappie in there that need to be thinned out, either through harvest or more predatory fish, or both.

Sounds like the musky have never taken hold there. Do they stock saugeye? Maybe they should. Boltz in N.KY stocked saugeye not too long back and the crappie #s seem lower, but average size is a lot larger. Of course, they also did pull some stunted crappie from that lake a few years back.

Just seems like there are too many small crappie in EF for the amount of food.

But whatever it is at EF, I hope it can be fixed. I love the lake.

    mbk
