My buddy Josh Andrews in Louisiana is just killing big Crappy...he is one of the disciples of building a complete fishery with cover and it is paying off.
His neighbor Ms Williams is his partner in crime...they were recently featured in Louisiana Sportsman.
Josh and Ms Williams live on the St Johns in Feriday....it's an oxbow off the Mississippi.

Went to visit Mother CJ today, to get some Mean Green pics! Guppy says 5 inches in the Marina, and 2.5 by the overlook.

Never fished there I think I have drove by it a few times isn't it in Springfield area and how is the toothy fishes there are they very abundant

CJ is a State brood lake for Walleye....It is a pure Walleye strain to supplement or help Erie if needed....she receives yearly fingerlings, to keep the population healthy. Some reproduction occurs but not enough to sustain a population.
Due to lack of natural cover, and huge schools of shad, most find it hard to find patterns or to key in on them..but once you do, freezers fill quickly.

No horsepower restrictions....2500 acres at summer pool. You're good until Memorial day....In summer you want off the lake by 10 or 11am....you can safely get back on after 6pm....too many recreational idiots.
They have benches by the Main Boat Ramp...for people to watch and laugh at the summer "Boating Pros"!
