Hey Hey...I got out yesterday for a couple hours with Jeff (Crappie Dreamer)...I fished from 7 till dark...had to leave cause headlights still look like exploding stars.
At 7 the sky's were overcast and the water was dark.
Found Crappie on bright colors, broke out some old tackle to lose, since I hadn't fished since the first of June...I still got "it"!lol
I tried natural and black without any bites....moved to the Keitech French Pearl and a glow in the dark curly tail and caught fish...switched back and forth with other colors, but could only catch fish with glow as it got darker.
Man, it was fun and relaxing to just get out....Just do it!

    Good fishing
    Brent

My parents, sisters, and Pat came over during the week and got their fill of tomatoes.
Decided to go out and pick some for the fish dinner and before the storms knock them off.
Ended up with a bag off each....foliage is perfect, no diseases, tomatoes have no bottom end rot, no bug damage.
Yum...Walleye and 'maters, with sweet corn.

What is the name of those tomato plants? The size of the fruit looks about perfect.

I use Better Boys...perfect balance of meat and juice....great for slicing, salsa, tacos, pasta sauce, etc!
The natural fertilizer, gives them a fantastic taste!
    😆
For me they are perfect....you can influence the size of any 'mater, on any plant, but I just let them go.
Some people pick off suckered shoots, etc., when you want high fruit production, I believe the extra foliage is needed for photosynthesis, so the plant is healthy, and continues to use food and water to produce maximum fruit, until killing frosts. The you have plenty for fried green 'maters in November!

"Better Boys"...that's a good choice. I used to work in a greenhouse when I was a kid. We mostly sold bedding plants but every year we'd plant about 100 tomato plants for sale of fruit to the public. Better Boys were one of the plants we'd use.
