Just got new my boat is in. Can't wait. I have to gout of town for work this weekend. And you know it was planned this way, finally get my new toy and can't use it yet. But I will be out running next weekend. Cannot wait.

It's good to see that they are starting to bite maybe the spawn won't be ruined this year since the lake rolled over and temps came back down. Keping my fingers crossed. Good fishing see you all out there next weekend.

Good luck to you both...bring them back alive with their fins UP ! If you should `wander by` the gravel bar NNW of the Marina am curious if anything has taken up residence...might want to check both sides of it, sir ! Will try to put in a `guest appearance on the very tip of the South Marina breakwater or Main Boat Ramp about 30 minutes prior to sun set. Hope to bump into a few `locals` ! would like to get back with Fritz, Sir Intimidator, Doc, Medic, Texasflatsfishing, Big Al...the list is long !

Fished from 8am to 11:30 bite was not bad as I caught over 20 crappie(2 cats) but only two were at even legal size so all went back. The wind was a bear to say the least as I ended over in the marina area to get some break. Water was in the mid 60"s and I had best luck with red/orange jig head and live bate over Keitech. Most were in 10-12 of water close to shore. Saw a few good ones taken off handicapped dock by marina and they were checking the length for the most part !!!!

Well, I'm alive and kickin'....Surgery went well, The Doc said the Cancer was fully encapsulated....said he never seen anything like it, as soon as he slit the area the cancer all slid out to him. He took my eye out again to make sure their was nothing else....to make sure I will have 2 rounds of radiation to make sure it doesn't come back again.
I'm well, but my eye ball feels like someone played basketball with it...looks like I was hit in the face by a train!
I'll be out fishing sometime tomorrow...yell if I don't see ya!
Thanks for all the prayers, things went better than expected so far!

Now, post up some fish pics!

Yep...it creeps me out every time I wake up and they tell me my eyeball was out...to me, I can see like nothing ever happened...but I know something did, because my whole eyeball is sore, bruised and blood filled.
I look like someone possessed because I have no white in my eye, it's all that dark crimson/black color!

Fished from 1 til 6:30pm....shallow bite was good until the rains came....then it was a GREAT deep bite.
Caught fish all day long....when it died shallow, I moved and kept right on catching...took home 22 all over 11.5 inches, with the big one going 13.5....I threw back quite a few big females that were loaded with eggs....about half still dinks.
Every bright color I had worked, even glow in the dark...so they aren't being particular now.
Big hits, if they miss, just stop and they'll come back for it...it's on boys!

Good to hear your ok Brent . We have finally got some keitechs from field and stream and I have had better luck with bass with them so far . We were out there today from 9 am until it rained around 4 . We got a dozen or so at marina with a 5 lbr carp over the rails fun . We headed to cliffs at lunchtime and got a nice channel and a 14 bass .they seem to be hitting much better then last yr for us so far .what color keitechs are good I had blue and silver w squid sent and green silver squid . I don't think they have a lot to choose from at fs
