    Default Lake Loramie

Fished for a few hours on Sunday and caught quite a few fish. The fish were under docks and in brush. I also caught some real nice bluegill.

Just curious, how will the 9 inch limit on the new lakes change things. I know there will be bigger fish in the future but how long until you see a change?

Alum Creek has a 9 in. limit and I like it. Better fish and a good population

Tappan Lake had the 9 inch limit introduced I believe just over 5 years. At that time we could catch a boat load of 5-8 inch fish. Now Tappan has one of the best crappie fisheries in our area. Saltfork is the same story but has only had it's 9 in for about 3 years and just look at the weigh-in @ the BCC Classic, 8 fish weighing 7+ lbs to win with big fish weighing 1.65, in Ohio. So I beleive this to be the best thing that has happened to our crappie fisheries in a long time. I am happy to see this. I only wish they would have made the 30 fish per boat limit instead of per angler. A pontoon with 10 straw hats can still take 300 fish.

Thanks for introducing yourself at the BCC classic. Saltfork has some nice fish, we caught black crappie on the main lake up to 12" and whites up to 14" in the back of coves. We had a great time and will have some good memories. Take care,

I think I read somewhere a 9" fish is usually about 2 years old around here. If that's right, the results should show up relatively quickly. If I'm wrong, someone will set me straight.

Went back out Sunday. Fish are active seemed to really like black and white stingers. Did get several bigger fish but put them all back.

A lot of people out after the saugeye.
