Any good spots to fish from the bank?
I will be in Yorktown from the 29 thru the 5th and wanting to wet a hook. I normally fish at the York river park and the public pier.
Saltwater is fine with me, but would like to try some freshwater too if I could find a nice, safe place.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Going to try Back Creek Park in the morning.
Seen lots of bait in there and plenty of fish jumping around.
    Hoping they were Sea Trout.
Anyway going to give it a try.
Thanks for all the views. Wish someone would Chim in though.
Not looking to steel anyone's spots. I only get up here once every year of so.

    Thanks fellas for your replies.
    Im getting down. I understand.
I fished back creek park today for about 3 hours. I was using some of that fish bites stuff. Got lots of bites but no takers. I think it was some really small bait thieves.
The couple fishing the other end of the dock caught about 4 and they was small. So I don't feel bad. I enjoy the outdoors and if a fish jumps on my hook, that's just a bonus. Heck I'm on vacation...lol I was just relaxing and taking in the beautiful scenery. Taking a drive with the wife tomorrow to VA. Beach or cross the bridge- tunnel to Cape Charles for the day. We may even ride on up to Maryland and Delaware. We've never been up there so it's something to do together for the first time. Been married for 7 years, and still have lots of firsts for us together.
May try Harwood Res. Wednesday and rent one of the boats if available and not to pricey.Vacation

Had a nice ride up to Cape Charles yesterday. Didn't do any fishing. Did walk out on the pier.
    Not much going on.
Fished the York river at York park this morning. Didn't do too bad.
Catch 20 fish or so. Different species so that was fun.
Went to Back Creek Park after a lunch break with the wife.
Catch a bunch of small fish there, but did manage to catch these 5 white perch. Back Creek is a brackish water creek.
So I kept these for a fish lunch tomorrow.
All in all it's been a great week and the fish was a nice bonus.
Looks like the rain will keep me from getting to fish more this week, but that's ok.Name: IMG_20210602_180714156.jpg
