Sorry to hear that Bill. How well I know the hurt. My heart goes out to you.
Lost my fishing buddy of 60 years last week to cancer. The last of six kids I grew up with to go. They raised each other when their dad took off and mom worked two jobs to take care of them. We fished together almost every day as kids and every weekend into the 90's. Work and his helping raise step kids kind of got in the way after that. In the early 90s he took a summer off to spend with his step son. They fished 5 or 6 days a week with museum, Civil War Battlefield and beach trips mixed in. The stuff he never had as a kid. A bunch of their fishing trips were at Bayville Park catching stunted crappies and then traveling around Va. Beach and Chesapeake stocking lakes and ponds in the new developments. I bet they hit over 50 places. He said if he could get one kid hooked on fishing he had done something that might keep the kid from the vices that ruined so many of our generation
