    Default Minn kotta question

I Shered my trolling motor pin today and had a back up on board. Replaced it and ran fine for 10 minutes. Totally quit. I just removed the cover and both wires to the 24v battery meter reading gauge are broken.

Would that keep the dang thing from running? I’m so aggravated w trolling motors. On my 3rd on. 70 lb HC.

I already replaced the switch because it wouldn’t go in reverse. Maybe the switch again.

    Thx for any help.

Could you post a picture of those wires and where they connect? I’m thinking if you have enough room you might just try splicing those two together and see if it runs.

I put the old switch back on that only ran in forward and it worked. So now it’s the second switch that’s gone bad. Won’t go forward or reverse. Ordered a 3rd one. Sad how unreliable parts are. Only like $10. More to ship it plus I shouldn’t have to be repairing a new trolling motor for the 3rd time.

BTW. Hope you are well bud.
