Default Parents looking for lake home

I figured here would be as good of a place as any to start.....

Both of my parents have finally retired and have lived in the Olive Branch area for about 25 years now. They have always wanted to live on a lake so they are starting the process of looking for something . The biggest kicker is Mom wants to be on the water or at least able to see the water from the house. Dad really doesn't fish so access to a close ramp is not a must. They are looking for a 4BR/3Bath if possible (as my Mom has a sister with special needs that lives with them) and would like to stay somewhere from Jackson north if possible. I am sure they will utilize the sites such as Zillow, etc. but I wanted to throw it out here in case anyone knew of something that may not be listed. Thanks in advance.

I was in the same boat (so to speak). Was living in Starkville and wanted a retirement place on the water. I'm a couple of years out from retirement but wife still has about 5 years left at MS State Univ before she can retire. There just isn't anything in MS on a nice lake except for a tiny bit around Pickwick. We decided to buy in Alabama. Lots more available over here.

Maybe check in to Horseshoe Lake, AR or even Moon Lake, MS. Both old, large oxbows that have new developement and great fishing.
