Depending on how strong your cell service is where you live a metal roof can kill your service in your house you will have to add a signal booster antenna to your roof
Other than that I love my metal roof !!

Default New roof - metal or shingle?

My son sells roofing material for a living. Both metal and shingles. He swears by shingles. He just roofed his new house with architectural shingles

As an insurance adjuster I recommend arc shingles. They are MUCH easier to pinpoint a leak to fix it compared to metal. On metal the screws will need replaced every 5-10 years and for insurance to ever pay it will either have to be significant hail damage or completely torn off by a tornado or such.

Default New roof - metal or shingle?

Aite. Next question. Anyone got. A roofer that is hungry and will work for crappie fillets and doesn’t know the difference between striped bass and catfish and crappie fillets?

Looking to get some recommendations and quotes from guys that work Grenada.

We had a leak in our shingled roof and had 3 different roofers come out to try to fix it and were never able to find it. One said he replaced some split shingles and sealed some holes that he said were left from "toe boards" that the original roofers had used when the house was built, another one replaced the boots around the dryer vent and other vents, the third one was honest and just said he couldn't locate the source of the leak and didn't charge us anything. We had given up and were saving up to pay for a new roof when one of those contractors that goes out knocking on doors after a storm came by and told us he thought he could get State Farm to buy us a new roof. I didn't think he would be able to because we tried that when the leak first started and were told by the first adjuster that we didn't have storm damage, just an old roof. But the guy got it done and all we had to pay was our deductible. I don't know if he paid off the second adjuster or what, but he got it done and now my roof doesn't leak anymore. And the second time around State Farm didn't send a local adjuster, they flew someone in from out of town so we were expecting it to be even harder to get them to pay for a new roof, but they paid for it.

I aint got no good intentions.
