    Default Pressure Washer

Wanting some wise wisdom on a good gas powered pressure washer... am in the market for a new one. Any suggestions on brand or model to buy or stay away from? $500 or less range.

I bought a pressure washer 5-6 years ago at a local industrial store, the brand name seemed vaguely familiar and I bought it for $399 I believe, it is a power horse brand, Northern Tool sells them, Item# 750143, they are currently $299. I have no idea how many hours I have on it, I’ve washed the house with it and done my porches several times. My son put a bunch of hours on it washing muddy Jeeps and atvs and dirt bikes. If this one quits tomorrow I would order another one.

I have one with a Honda engine that I bought 20-25 years ago to use on the farm. Used it almost everyday cleaning equipment for 10-15 years of that. Now the pump leaks but the engine still cranks on the first pull.

Amazon has replacement pumps. They are reasonable and easy to replace. Also check out the Ryobi units at Home Depot. I bought one not too long ago and so far so good. It too has a Honda motor.

Simpson is the best I've found. Got one that is 7 years old and never a minutes trouble. We use it a lot at work cleaning equipment and never misses a beat.

I Have a craftsman with a Honda motor . It replaced a craftsman that had a Briggs/ Stratton that lasted 2 months (used twice) that started leaking oil . Have had the Honda unit for three years without any problems .

Great pressure washer and yes Made in the USA! I responded in haste this morning before work, I couldn't elaborate much. Alot of pressure washers out their sporting Honda engines, the value is in the pump, fittings, hose, and accessories from Simpson. Great to have a Honda engine, but with a Mickey mouse pump or fittings it's rendered of lesser value if you are buying replacement parts every other year. Just my opinion, been thru a couple other's and this brand has really held up under heavy use over the years..
