    Default Breading Emergency

Anybody know where I can get some Andy’s Red in the Jackson area? I ran out tonight and I’m panicking. Seriously, this is awful.

Can’t help with that down there. Just talked to my daughter this evening. She couldn’t find any breading for fish or chicken or flour around Memphis today. Wish I was closer, I have a huge bag of it I’d split with you. Push come to shove and you get real desperate I could send you some.

Saw it for $29.99 for six 10 ounce packs, free shipping on Amazon. Also, a 5 lb bag for $24.99.

Personally I don’t think it’s all that great . Try some Louisiana branded New Orleans flavor . Much better than Andy’s

A bag of yellow corn meal, flour (optional) a few basic household spices and you can mix your own for pennies on the dollar. I'm guilty of buying store bought myself at times, but when forced to a batch mixing of my own breading it seems to be worth the extra effort. That Andy's red is good stuff for sure, wasn't aware of the shortage.

Four parts corn meal, one part flour and season to suit your tastes. Been doing that for years.
