Newer readers might have missed my old story about preparedness so here goes again.
I had a college friend who was the son of an Indian chief. After he graduated his father passed away and my friend was made chief. He had book learning but very little practical knowledge as to how to run the tribe. Winter was coming so he instructed everyone to gather firewood for the winter cold. The tribe put up a large pile of wood but he wasn't sure if it was enough. Being educated he went to the weather bureau and asked how bad winter would be."Bad" said the meteorologist. So he went back and told the tribe they needed more wood. The pile grew. But was it enough? Back to weather bureau and he asked how bad. "Real bad!"
Tribe was sent for more wood. Still not sure he went to weather central again. Just how bad is it gonna be He asked. "Terribly bad, the Indians are gathering firewood like crazy!!"
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
