    Default Lakes open or closed?

Wanting to go fishing tomorrow at Arkabutla or Sardis. I am hearing lakes are open, lakes are closed. Can anyone provide clarity on if the lakes are closed? I don’t need a boat ramp because I am just taking a canoe but if there is no utilization of the lakes period, I would be grateful to know. Thank you.

Open but only 2 people per boat!
Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.

When bags are over pay vaults they are officially closed . You may enter at your own risk . If there is a total shut down like 9/11 there will be concrete blocks to prevent ramp use or gates will be locked . If I understand correctly the Ross Barnett Reservoir in Jackson is part of "the Pat Harrison Waterway "and it is closed to ramp use due to violations of the 6 ft . spacing rule . Barnett falls under the regulation of a different governing body than the big -4 (Vicksburg dist . CO.E. ) You may call the lakes individually if you like . I do know several fishing Sardis today at Hurricane and coon town landings . Enid lake 662-563-4571 Sardis lake 662-563-45310 .
