    Default Garmin force trolling motor

Just wandering if anyone has tried the new trolling motor by Garmin. I purchased one last week and due to work constraints have only been out for a few minutes with it. I can say it is very powerful and quiet. Haven't tried the remote just the foot control and so far I like it.

Is it a electric steer or a power assist cable like the ultrex?
Does it steer like a foot control on a terrova or like the ultrex?

Battery life is what I think about. I wonder with all the extra power, how long will those batteries last in comparison to the other major brands.Does it have a spot lock feature?Reliability also.Considering the price, pretty much out of reach for the ordinary fisherman on fixed income!

I’m going to assume it has spot lock, that brushless motor will be much more powerful and much more efficient on battery draw. Should get almost twice as much time and battery life should be better. Reliability I think will just take time to find out. I figure it won’t be long before Minn Kota and Motor Guide introduce their version. If I was buying or looking at buying a new ultrex for difference in price I’d sure have to give it a hard look for the reasons I listed.

Might want to check on the availability of spare parts. My local dealer has inquired and there is not as much as a spare prop available from Garmin for the new motor. This is as of 2 weeks ago and he's a factory authorized repair center and dealer.

Well, if ya don’t like it, I’ll give you half for it as long as your ok with monthly payments.

Looks bad sweet to me. Let us know how you like it and how it compares to your last motor.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I bought one as soon as it was released and I love it....it is very quite and has a quick response when using the wireless foot pedal or remote. Yes it has spot lock and if you have the new Garmin 93sv uhd or compatible units it will pair with it and you can operate the trolling motor from the screen. So far so good no issues with it at all and the battery life is excellent when using it I’m running it on 24V and can fish all day and have 50-60% battery left with Walmart batteries depending on conditions and type of fishing I’m doing. Worth the money.
