Russel marine has a fairly good video on YouTube comparing the SV and the SVUHD. Quite a bit of difference. But to me Humminbird is far and above any other for scanning.

Yes echomap plus 93sv will work with livescope. I do know some folks that had to install the latest update before theirs would work with livescope. The one I had worked straight out of the box.
