    Default Lithium-Ion Batteries

Please see the link below before you buy these for your boat. As prices drop more people will be looking to get them because of the Light Weight, Number of Cycles, and Power they provide.

That article is almost 8 years old. That’s several generations of technology.

There are thousands of these batteries in use in boats, Rvs, solar arrays, etc. The main downside to their use is price.

I would do a lot of research before installing these batteries. Lot's of them still blowing up in people's pants etc. I would hate to have a 12v blow up on a boat.

This article is from 2012. Hopefully things are better now. Any reports from recent battery fires?

i been doing some research on em myself and i think im gonna let them prove themselves a little bit more. not going to spend that kind of money on a battery anyway. from what ive seen im not sure my 4 bank minnkota charger would work with em or not which is another 600.00 investment.
