    Default Bubba Blade electric knife....

Was in Academy yesterday and they had some for sale for $99.99.
Do any of you have one or know someone that has one?
    Do you/they like it?
    Is that a good price?
    Thanks

I have a cordless I bought off Ebay a few month's ago, paid $125 no tax and free shipping. One of the two lithium batteries wasn't any good. Since I didn't buy it from Bubba blades directly or an authorized brick and mortar store I was told tough luck. Only cleaned a few fish with it, seems to do well. It came with four blades. I've heard complaints of plastic gears stripping easily and blades being to aggressive. Also seen reviews where others are completely satisfied overall. Guess depends on the size of the fish you use it own and skillset. If that is the corded model it's an average buy in my opinion. I would hold off for further reviews this year if at all possible before dropping the money on one.

Been using the cordless since this fall. Really like it a lot! I filleted 80 fish without swapping batteries and was still running strong. The blades are really good also. Cordless, two batteries, four blades and case was $149. Worth every penny to me.

I used a friends fresh out of the box new Bubba Blade electric the other day. The trigger was hard to push and I hated it. Not sure if all the triggers are that hard or not. I cleaned one fish and let him BUTCHER the rest. He blamed the blade for being to sharp but the problem was the trigger being difficult to push. You had to bear down on it and it kept quitting in the middle of the fillets because you just couldn’t mash the trigger hard enough to keep it going.

Got a corded for Xmas. Used it once cleaned 15 crappie 2 white bass. Ate threw them rib bones like butter. The trigger has 2 settings. One is hard and one is soft. No problems so far. Has a lot of power. If anyone has cleaned white bass you know how tough them rib bones are.

There is a small safety button by the trigger you have to push in to release the trigger and then it’s very easy to push.
Don’t ask me how I know..
