Network Helix and 899

If i use an ethernet hub, and network a helix 12 gn2 with a 899 si/di combo, will i be able to see the 899 info on the helix screen. Based on what i found on hbird compatibility chart i think ans is no. Someone that had this combo said thought you could.

All CHIRP must be shut off in the HELIX CHIRP configuration Menu (under the Setup tab) in order to share Sonar to a non-CHIRP unit ...

what about to the helix from the 899.. that would be from a non-chrip to a chirp. And can this be turned on and off during a fishing trip?

i found a video of a core 999 being networked with a helix 10 and you could see everything on both. Hope this will work with my 899

Either way - All CHIRP must be shut off in the HELIX CHIRP configuration Menu or each unit will not even list the other unit in the networking tab ...

Only HELIX 12” in G1 is CHIRP ...

HELIX 9 and 10 in G1 are not CHIRP (these will share sonar fine) ..

All HELIX G2 and newer are CHIRP —> and CHIRP must be shut off in the HELIX G2 or newer to share Sonar to a non-CHIRP unit ...
