    Default Enid bridge

Just read where Corps has started replacement of bridge between I55 and main entrance to Enid lake. No estimate on time to complete.

Work begins on Enid Lake Bridge > Vicksburg District > News Releases

Figure getting started in a year was pretty quick for the Corps. Way they have to document everything and jump through so many hoops to get funding.

The Corps and the State argued over whose bridge the property was on, according to Reese Guide. I guess the State won the argument. I figured it was Corps responsibility all along considering the location of the bridge. Great news!

I drove by the bridge yesterday. There were two pickups parked there and two guys with hard hats standing on the bridge looking at the sky. I guess that's phase one. Probably just year or two now and it will be open.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

I don't know why anyone would want that fixed. After 2 years of pulling a camper and boat in the back way, winding road, narrow road, and making getting to the park about 20min. longer I will miss all that.

That means somebody is going to have to man it. WOW! To my friends up North, you can circumvent that. I can't wait to see how they are going to pull that off!
