Default aynyone know anything about Baystar Hydrolic Steering?

had mine cflushed and recharged this past spring because the boat wouldn't turn.

Back to the same thing now.

Got in it this weekend and was going to crank the boat up and let it run a few minutes in the yard. Cranked fine and when I went to turn it NOTHING.

BayStar is for up to a certain HP, may be 150HP. Above that HP number you have to go to SeaStar steering. My Bay Pro 230 has the SeaStar on the Suzuki 250. My last BP 203 had BayStar with the Suzuki 140. The brand is standard equipment on several noted brands of boats.

Don, questions. Does the wheel turn but motor doesn’t. Or is it locked up. If wheel turns but no steering I suspect you have some air in the system that did not get all bleed out last time. Then with it sitting for a long period it has migrated to one point ( probably steering cylinder ). If so just read up and follow the bleeding instructions.

Got to be air in system. Find instructions for bleeding and check real good for leaks at all your connections.

Thanks Cray. Did a little looking and it's going to be air in the line. Of Course you have to have a kit to bleed out the air or have 2 people and make a mess. I ordered the kit. Robot Check
