Default Question about the heat index

Somebody enlighten me. If the temperature is 200 and it feels like 220 will water boil (boiling point 212)? I maintain that it won't but have no data. If it really feels the same as 220 it would boil would it not. Me thinks it's all baloney created for political purposes but would like to know for sure.

Not really hotter but your ability to cool down is less because of the humidity.

It might boil but you won’t be around to see it

It’s a measure of the feel like temp based on the dew point or humidity in the air. And like rusty said it reduces your ability for body to cool down because of the lack of evaporation on your body. No it won’t boil water but it will darn sure kill you.

    Here is a good explanation

A safer test would be to see if water will freeze at a “feels like” of 32.

If if it wont freeze at heat index of 32 and it wont boil at heat index of 212 then someone is tricking us into thinking that's what those indexes feel like. Heat index gives much more drama to the weather and really burst into wide use with the man made global warming hoax.(Yes climate does change but not because of us) If they really felt the same they would have the same reaction with water. My two cents (not much to lose).
