No. I disconnected the battery charger and still had issues. I've watched every video on YouTube and still have problems

I’m guessing your transducer is attached to the trolling motor? If so have you unmounted it and moved it and its coax as far away as possible to see if that helps? And just a thought, have you switched the unit to demo mode and turned the trolling mtr on to see if there is any interference? Then disconnect the transducer cable from the head unit and turn the trolling mtr on. That might tell you if your interference is coming through the power cable.

Think I got it. Had a friend bring by his spare transducer and hooked it up. Everything worked good. I then remembered seeing an indentation on the backside of the transducer between it and the motor. I thought there was enough room under it for the cable to cross without crushing. Apparently not. This explains why it did not show up immediately after installation. It probably took a little while for the protective sheathing to be compromised. In theName: IMG_1494.jpg

Size: 51.2 KB pic you can see the indentation and maybe see where the cable is flattened ever so slightly. Thanks to everyone here for all the advice and help, especially strmwalker. Also thanks to Dee F for the offer of your spares. One of my local buddies had one so that saved me much time and trouble. Anyhow, here is the pic and I hope this may help someone else down the line.

Yes. Apparently you have plenty room if you let the cord lay next to the edge and around to the groove on the upper left side of the pic. My mistake was crossing the transducer to the groove on the lower left. I wish Humminbird would have noted that in the instructions.

I know when I mounted mine on the transom the location where the cable entered the transducer was at the rear of the transducer rather than next to the transom which was not a good engineering design. It left a bout a three inch loop of cable over the transducer just waiting to get hooked on something. Glad you got yours fixed.
