Had interference issues with my old terrova. Jumped thru all the HB hoops, nothing worlked. Drilled a hole in the skeg and grounded it to my negative coming from the battery. Problem solved,

Did you drill the skeg of the trolling motor?

Apparently, the isolation between the banks failed and was letting interference through the charger. This way, the trolling batteries and cranking batteries are completely detached from
One another. Dunno if that helps in your case but I remember on the other thread u said it used to never happen but all of a sudden it started on you. Might be the charger letting the interference through.

Tried this today and it did not work for me. Thanks for the info though. Will have to try something else.

I did the ground to skeg, ground from negative on trolling batteries to electronics battery. Nothing worked and hummingbird was 0 help. My problem was power cord from trolling motor was laying on power supply for front fishfinder. I separated them and interference left until I hooked up NMEA 2000 now it’s back

I’ve tried most every suggestion with no improvements. I did find this dent on the underneath of my transducer. It was where the cable had pushed into the backside a little. Do you think this could be the root of my problem? Name: IMG_4568.jpg

Size: 52.3 KBthe cable was flattened just a bit but no visible damage otherwise

    What transducer do you have?
I have a couple extras. You’re more than welcome to try them and see if they make a difference.

I started getting interference on my Helix 9 DI and after very close inspection I found a very small cut on the cable just above the transducer that was caused when I bumped into something with the trolling motor. The cable was against the clamp and when it got bumped it made a small cut in the cover that was very hard to see. I replaced the transducer and cable assembly and it fixed my problem. Good luck with yours.

Chris, I was reading this post and may have missed this but is the only time you get “noise” is when the trolling motor is running and the display is clear when the trolling motor is off?

I have been following this post to help solve the interference problem on my Garmin. I talked to Minn Kota tech this morning about a nother problem with the propeller shaft bushing and I brought up the interference problem and his suggestions was that choke in the beginning of this post. I have never heard of one before so my question is where do I find one to buy to see if this solves my problem.
