    Default Battery question...

I have 2 brand new group 31 batteries that I haven’t used yet. I bought them 4 or so weeks ago. I have a Minn Kota 2 bank onboard charger. Since they fully charged when I installed them, battery #1 has remained on steady green, indicating full charge. In that same span, battery #2 has gone through 2 charges, where the charger goes out of maintenance mode to charge it, and then returns to steady green. My question is, is it normal for a new battery to lose enough voltage in that span just sitting there to cause the charger to come on, or is it possible that the battery is defective? Like I mentioned, it charges for a little while and returns to solid green. Thanks.

Is there a way you can swap the charger leads to the batteries to see if it is a quirk in the charger?

Thought about that, and will try it. Thanks!
