I bet it gets way worse before it gets better. It’s just March...no snow melt yet. It didn’t flood til May in 2011. Hopefully the River will drop a few feet so they can drain some of the back back water. We are getting it from both sides.

It’s strange that we haven’t seen much if anything about the massive flooding in Nebraska and Iowa. Towns inundated with water, one dam broke and flooded a couple of small towns. Just saw a post on Facebook where the huge air force base in Nebraska is almost completely under water. All that will come into the Mississippi at some point. May be below us but still river will be backed up. I’m sure it’s going to get a whole lot worse before it thinks about getting better.
i don't watch a whole lot of news but when i have i haven't seen much at all about the flooding situation but your right the entire southern half of the ms river basin is flooded. the northern half is still for the most part frozen. this we're seeing now im afraid is just the beginning. most all the flood control systems were already maxed out from local rain when the river started rising. there's nowhere to put the river water.
We are just back in the banks here in Savannah Tn. Been a long few weeks. Good luck with your camp.
