    thank yall for all your answers and solutions.. i'm going to go with the transducer saver for now.. i am having issues finding one for my specific ducer since they say the no longer make mine. i have the exchanged upgrade one from humminbird for a 859di combo.. the picture on cabelas looks like mine but they say mine is actually a puck transducer and they are out of stock.. clearly i am overmatched.. lol if anybody happens to see my picture and knows the model of my ducer please post the number... im going to try and call humminbird

    Should be a tag on cable close to where it plugs in with model number.

    Here is the link to the company.I ordered mine direct from them. I broke my transom mount on stumps in Santee Cooper. This has been a Godsend for stumpy lakes.

    I didn't know Cabellas/BPS carried these. There are so many various combinations I would not have thought it practical for a store to carry them. Anyway, this link will fix you up

    actually they dont make one for my transducer.. its the wide model.. they make 2 separate parts with straps for my model.. i finally had time to call someone with the company on the phone..
