Thread: Best electric filet knife?

American angler got 3 of them with shark blades will filet a 3 lbr in a jiffy.

Let me say first that I've always been a huge fan of American Angler fillet knives. I've owned more than one of them, have given them as gifts and recommended them to numerous people. However, last year I ordered a new Proseries knife and 2 sets of the 8" shark blades. Unfortunately, the knife wouldn't cut with any blade I put into it including either of the two new blades. So I thought there was something wrong with the knife, but when I tried the new blades in other American Angler knives they wouldn't cut either, both blades would just gum up with meat between the blades which just made a mess. So since they were made in Walnut Ridge AR I called the plant over there and they told me the would replace both my knife and blades but at that time they were out of motors and didn't know when they would be getting anymore of them in. So I waited to send them in for warranty work. But when I did I found out that the Walnut Ridge Plant had closed and that I had to send them to Harrison OH, that was according to their website. So I sent them via FedEx and have the signature were they have received them but now it's been over a month and I haven't heard anything from them. So today I decided I would try and contact them but the only phone number I can find is a Walnut Ridge Arkansas phone number and it no longer belongs to them. So I looked for one in Ohio but after 2 hours of search none was to be found. According to their website the only other way to contact them is via email at [email protected] so when I tried to email them my email was returned deliverable. So my advise is to be careful if purchasing a new American Angler knife. If anybody has anyway of contacting them please post it on here, I'd really like to talk to someone.

Followup, I actually was able to get a hold of someone after another hour of searching. They are supposed to contact me tomorrow about my replacement. I certainly hope so anyway. I really like their products in the past, I hope everything works out ok for me and anyone else that has a problem with them. Thanks.
