    Probably mine too. I'd never heard of it until I met my future wife 25 years ago. She was from the beach, and I'z just a hillbilly. They ate it on lots of stuff. Now I know why. I'm still just a hillbilly but now eat Old Bay seasoning. LOL

    So you all just eat it with a fork off the skin or do you scrape it off first?

    If you haven't tried it with blackening season you are missing out. Any scaled game fish can be cooked on the half shell. I just moved to Meridian from the coast. We cooked may different scaled fish on the half shell. Yes you just eat if off the shell and it is outstanding.
