With the lakemaster I set the depth ranges in three different colors-shallow for safety, fishing target range depth, and everthing deeper. It/s cool to just follow the color you're fishing (and contours too of course)

I’d sell the cable drive and the navionocs card and buy an ultrex and the lake master. Not being ugly but it’s just night and day difference.

Thanks bird. My plan it's keep the cable steer and also get an ultrex. I fish some mighty nasty stuff on the TenTom at times that the ultrex could not handle. But I also go to the Rez and big 4 where it is best to use the ultrex. The navionics vs the lake master was my big question here. I got my answer, looks like I will be purchasing an additional card

Doing some doctoring on my old unit to try and get more life out of it. Checked the hours today and it was 5000 hours! Be nice if it would run a few thousand more.

Ultrex has cable steer foot control with electric assist, plus I pilot. It's the best of both worlds.

Yes, from what I understand it is a power assisted cable steer. They say you can feel when the trolling motor is against an object just like direct cable steer.
