2009 Merc 50 2 stroke on fishing boat. Merc 60 4 stroke command thrust on Pontoon. No I wouldn't buy another 2 stroke after using the 60 4 stroke fuel injected. Quieter, easier starting, easier on fuel.

I bought a 20HP Tohatsu 4 stroke last year. It is a really nice running engine . Previously owned 2 Yamahas, 40 and 55 HP 2 strokes and they both were very good motors.
Spoiler alert!!! Tohatsu makes all of the Mercury motors up to around 70HP and have for years. I had a 2001 Bass Tracker with a 25HP Mercury on it. Super reliable motor for the 15 years I had it. It was made by Tohatsu.

Update! Just learned that Tohatsu now only makes the Mercury motors up to 30HP. The 40, 50, and 60 HP motors are now made in China. That's changed since I last checked. Mercury builds the 70 and above at their USA plant.

200 hp Yamaha 4-stroke SHO. Yes I would buy again but like Cray already stated, those Suzuki’s are mighty tempting. I never met an owner that wasn’t satisfied

Yamaha 250 hpdi. Good motor. Sensitive to clean fuel/filters and spark plugs. If I had to replace tomorrow and I had G’s money, I’d have to go with the new merc pro xs v8 4 stoke. Far and above a superior motor to mine. Same weight, way more mid range punch and top end is equivalent, which I really don’t care about.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
