Trying to fish Butla this weekend. Went to the Dam Store— Closed. Went to J&J One Stop in Hernando —Out of Minnows with the MCC in town. And these folks wonder why the fishermen don’t stop by more often. SMH

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
The Dam Store has been sold, the owner stopped restocking inventory over a month ago besides bait. I heard he closed the doors Wednesday. The new owners take over the 1st of October. There is Wallace Bait Shop on Hwy 35 and the new store just a piece east of there on 35 as well. The new store had one size fits all minners today, but were on the large size, decent count and $2.50 a dozen. I was met with the same ill fate at 7:30 this morning at JJ's, then went down to 51 Market and got the same news, they was bought out. I agree they should have prepared a bit better, but never know some of these guys bring their own bait. Nobody fishes Butla that much, so these shops order on Friday's in anticipation of the weekend. Not going to bad mouth none of them, I appreciate the years of service from the Dam Store, always done me fair. And am glad to see JJ's in Hernando, I'm still in the air on a good review of them, but I will give them another chance. Older gentleman apologized several times about turning me away, but it happens.
so where can we get minnows at in the morning????
