Can't say anything about the graceful part as I just got my left arm out of the cast and the stitches removed. Got my feet tangled with some boxes and went straight back. Broke the very tip off of my elbow. A little surgery, a few stitches and a cast for 3 weeks. Good to go now.

I have always been told that the alternative to getting older is worse! Keep getting up as long as possible.

I think many of us have a "slippers" story. Mine was back in November. Let me give you the play by play. 1. put slippers on 2. start going down carpeted stairs 3. carpet stairs and slippers equals ski slope 4. down I go w/o the required ski poles (if that's what they are called) 5. fall on shoulder 6. massive complete, rip off the bone rotator cuff injury 7. in for surgery 8. up to 1 year to completely heal 9. but back fishing after about 3 months. Moral of the story: keep the slippers in the box and off your feet.
