    Default tunica and hardin point

was told a recently that hardin point hunting club was considering buying the land around the ramps and shutting off access. anyone else heard that? i would hate to see that. more failure on the state if it happens.

We lost Horn Lake (Lakeview) to hunting clubs and politicians with deep pockets! Wouldn't surprise me at all!

I don't know how land ownership works down there but you got a bunch of died in the wool cutoff residents who may not just up and sell. They done fought the government when they tried to condem the whole place after the last flood. And really doubt the richest of that hunt club got the money to buy out that whole place.

There's 3 ramps owned by three different entities. Look it up on the Landglide app or www.Tunicamaps.com . Plus, most of the folks at Nel Win own or long term lease the ground their cabins are on. I don't think Hardin Point would want to spend that much money just to have 3 ramps! They may be thinking about buying Charlie's camp since it is right across from the landing on the Island. There was a rumor before Charlie died that he was going to sell his to the State & they were going to make a public park. Then, the State didn't have the money & were waiting on an appropriation.. Charlie's area looks like a ghost town now.
I'll keep my ears open & if anything factual materializes, I'll advise.

I hunt with a few guys in Arkansas that are in Hardin point. they have said nothing about it. Dont really see what they would gain by spending money on that?

Well, it was there for a long time. The Belz had only been trying to sell it for 35 years at least.
