    Default "all star" trolling rods

Anybody using these ? Saw them at Academy sports . Curious if that's the same rod company that made great bass gear? Felt good but were 50 dollar range .

Was told many moons ago that the company had changed hands. Like 20/25 years ago. And the new rods were not the same.
Also the new rods break it and bring it back for a new one policy was discontinued. They did bring the price down. I never
bought another one so I don't know about the quality. 6 and 6 1/2foot medium action with a fast tip were the only rods
I had in my arsenal back them. I had 5 of them and never broke but one trying to swing a too big red fish in the boat.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

I have two 10 ft. I love them. They are very light and sensitive. Great for trolling while holding rods and I’ve used them spider rigging and outfished my buddy with his 14 ft rods because I can pickup on light bites he never sees. A lot of big fish just barely mouth it. They do have a lot of flex but I will put up with that to catch more fish.

I used to have a All Star bass rod that I really liked & lost it over the side of the boat one day. But haven't saw any of their stuff for several years.

I bought a two piece jig pole at Academy last year....I broke it (not the rods fault). I asked Academy how I could order a replacement tip for it.....they don’t have a clue, and I can’t find anything online
