I used the double seat posts for a couple of years, and we had zero problems until I pinched littlemama's hand between our millinium seats! Not once but twice during the Lake Washington tourney. Needless to say, I drilled two large holes and put in two seat bases, and it has been the best thing we have done to our "new to us" rig.
People for some reason want to swivel to the inside, will not swivel to the outside. The new bases allow this inside movement to happen, nobody trips over bars, or me.

Food for thought. Besides, it's not the holes on top of the boat that makes life worse, it's the ones underneath that do it!!
