    Default Butla Habitat day

I'd like to see who all plan to be there and what you will bring. I will be working off of Plantation Point. We'll need a few 4 wheeler to get material down to the flats. We'll need a few boats to drop material in Hurricane, Mussacuna and Cane creek areas. We have a truck load of boo tops there now. I'll have a trailer load of boo stakes and a few christmas trees.
I'd call the COE office about added material delivered to the area tomorrow.

We can plan another work day and habitat day at a later date too.
Thanks Slablife thanked you for this post

Ditto on that cane, like I said yesterday ain't no water in hurricane, cane and very little in Mussacuna. Even if go in by boat it will require waders (mucking thru mud) and loading and unloading a bunch of material from a boat. I say we move the stuff by truck if need be, get pleasant hill unlocked go by 4 wheeler and trucks if we don't get tons of rain this week. Other than that, you know I will be there.. then we work southside after lunch.

Whatever would be loaded on boats would be anchored and dropped. Some of it could be shallow or deep.
Is Patton ramp usable? I can drop off the trees and some stakes there. Work from the ramp to the overflow. Work from Plantation point to the overflow and up Wolf creek as far as we wish. Whatever is left we can move it to the south end.
Plan another work day, collect material and work from another point when we can.
I got a notice of a pile of cedar limbs and tops on Tchulahoma, south of Stateline. Would be great if I had an empty trailer.

Meet at the field office, it's south of the spillway on your right, passed the swimming beach.

You better be in shape if u plan on wading around much out there. I got boat stuck today and was was pulling 16 inches of mud with every step. Some of the worst I've seen in all these years of wade fishing

Up on the northeast end of Butla there is mud that is like quick sand. I sunk the front end of a pickup one time. Resident said cows have been known to get in it & not able to get out of it. Be careful!

Are you talking about where the field office USE to be? The actual functioning field office is on the north end of the dam now next to the overflow. Has been for two or three years.
the view is better from the backroads
