One fried turkey, about a dozen or so wild smoked turkey breast (harvested this spring), some fried quail, fried deer tenderloin, dressing and giblet gravy, pecan pie, plus some non essential items, thats the important stuff though What's everybody fixn for Thanksgiving?. Happy Thanksgiving! Let's also remember to share with and pray for others less fortunate then us. I'm carrying some deer meat & turkeys to a few folks tomorrow who are always glad to have it.

Spatchcocked Turkey on the Big green egg after a day of brining and injected, Andouille sausage dressing, mashed taters, corn caserole. Yumm By doing our Turkey that way, I cooked a 20 pounder in 2 1/2 hours

We do our family dinner on sunday before Thanksgiving. It frees up time so we can spend the day at other gatherings. There were 35 family members here on the hill. Debbie did a 22 lb turkey in the oven and made dressing. I cooked a 6 lb chicken breast and a boston butt in the Masterbuilt. Along with purple hull peas, greens and butter beans. Everybody brought something.
I'll spend most of my tomorrow at the shop, noon, 6 pm and 1 am, dinners for each shift. I'll carry a pot of purple hull peas and 2 dozen deviled eggs.

Just got done with family breakfast at my In-laws. I fried fresh deer tenderloin and backstap. Made gravy with the skillet drippings. My grandson asked specially for deer since it has sort of been a Thanksgiving tradition for us to celebrate with my wife's family for breakfast and he remembers me doing deer since he was old enough to chew on a piece. I don't know how many more Thanksgivings we will have my In-laws and my parents with us so each one is special.
