    Ms Goodtime, can you still find the gold Ball lids there? Only thing available here are the silver lids and anything with salt or high
    acid will eat through them in a couple of months time.

    I pick a mix of the wild ones, thornless ones and these hook thorn ones. I picked a gallon last week and 2 gallons yesterday. There are still a lot of red ones.
    I rinse them twice, freeze them in quart bags for later use.

    stormcloud, I looked online. Gold lids are hard to find in Ball. May have to look at Golden Harvest or Kerr. Might be wrong, I think Kerr and Ball are the same company now.
    Here's what I found.

    no problem brother just ain't nothing better than a black berry cobbler and the wife makes a good one just waiting on them here at the house I got 2 mulberry trees that are loaded so gonna pick on them a bit
