    I don't see why not, like I mentioned they are not supposed to reproduce. If any reproduction it's minimal. Guess it depends on current fish population. The hatchery could tell ya for sure.

    From what I think I know, IF they reproduced they will reproduce blue gill and NOT hybred. Also a conservation dude told me that gills life span is 5-6 years. Fact or fiction? Anybody know what the life span of a healthy crappie might be??

    I've heard 5 - 6 years is about average as well. Upon reading up on it they say some can live 10 years or so.. may explain why my folks we're still seeing hybrids well after the 5 year mark, good ole clean living and avoiding them hooks of course... Lol
