JOB - URINE TEST
Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.
I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ASS, doing drugs, while I work. . . .
Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?
Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though . . . Something has to change in this country -- and soon!!!!!
Guess we could title that program,
"Urine -- or You're Out".
Someone emailed me this, thought it made some sense.....slab

Been asking my state legislators to propose that for a few years now, nothing done. Never voted for them again. but you're right they should have to pass a test to get those checks but I'd like to see the rent portion go straight to the Landlord, utilities to the utilities you get the drift.
The money will go to the intended person and they won't have it to spend on drugs and booze. Heck send a list to the grocery stores with how much they have and get it reduced from their accounts!!!!!!!!
Okay off the soap box

Well I don't agree with random testing for no reason. But if I or someone else is coming to work stoned or drunk, then by all means treat them or fire them. But having said that I too have to take randoms where I work and if I have to for work then by all means they should for free money.
Caught me off guard as well. Think a thread like this got the ax sometime back.
I fully agree that anyone that is receiving a check be tested. They probably wouldn't do it because of the cost. It's a no brainer to most, but then what would we do with them? Crime might even rise more than what it is. Here in Oklahoma, 9 banks have been robbed so far this year. Last year there was a total of 6. People are getting desparate.
I do think there should be some kind of plan set forth to be able to gain benefits though.

Good post Slab and I also agree whole heartedly.

Couldn't help myself just jesting here folks. :D :D
“There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide.” Ayn Rand
I agree 100% but that plan would make to much sence for the government to go along with it. Sometimes I think that they would prefer for people to just lay around and do nothing.
